What?

Dream Big. Innovate it. Share it.

Two heads are better than one? How about twenty or even thirty?

In conjunction with the soft launch of CultureRun’s website & ‘Global Entrepreneurship week’ we are hosting a free event titled ‘CultureRun’s Big Idea’.

CultureRun’s Big Idea is a brainstorming session that brings together minds from an array of fields, from entrepreneurs to musicians, to investment bankers or filmmakers in a casual and informal environment. We believe that different minds bring different perspectives and through this we are offering an opportunity for a community think-tank. Participants will be able to share their ideas liberally, inspire one another, obtain fresh ideas and tap into a wide pool of collective cleverness.

Sounds pretty sweet so far?

The event will be moderated by a panel of facilitators, well-versed in their specific fields, and together with a diverse group of participants it aims to be an informal and conversational event to cultivate creativity and facilitate the exchange of useful ideas and real world solutions.

Who is this for?

Our target audiences are students, fresh graduates and young urban professionals who want to learn how to apply creativity and fresh ideas into their fields of study and work, as well as anyone who could use more creativity in their lives in general.

Key aims
  • Generation of ideas and solutions – to learn more about the process of coming up with an idea, refining it and executing it.
  • Provide an environment where ideas can be shared liberally in a positive, encouraging atmosphere.
  • Inspire participants to see from different perspectives & engage in thinking beyond boundaries through discussion and interaction with speaker/panelists.
  • Have heaps of merry fun!

 Who we are

CultureRun by The Culture Yard is a new business started in September 2011 that aims to bring a diverse community of people together to share their skills, passions, and talents through workshops or what we call ‘ShareShops’.

Using the power of the web, through our website www.culturerun.com, we offer a platform where anyone can offer Shareshops to others on any type of skill, from baking cupcakes to raising start up capital. Classes are held in real-life in various places around Kuala Lumpur city and Petaling Jaya from restaurants, to bars, cafés, galleries and so on.

It is an exciting platform towards peer-to-peer learning, with the intention of ‘giving learning back to the community’. We believe that it’s never too late to learn and our eventual aim is to make learning a lifestyle in Kuala Lumpur.
