Jason Lo - Tune Talk CEO and Musician

Hailing from Kuching, Sarawak, the dynamic CEO of TuneTalk is well-known for making waves in whatever industry he is in, from telecommunications to the music scene. After completing his MBA, he returned home to pursue his passion for music as a full-time musician, singer, songwriter, and producer. He also founded Fat Boys, which he built into a premier event agency and record label in Malaysia before joining TuneTalk as CEO. TuneTalk, a MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) startup provides voice, SMS and GPRS services to customers. His other achievements include founding Rock the World, Malaysia’s largest music festival, and creating reality football show ‘MyTeam’ with Khairy Jamaluddin to showcase local football talent. He is currently working on his fourth studio album.

Zlwin Chew - Magician and Mentalist
Zlwin Chew is a mind magician dedicated to the art of magic and the passion to bring you back to a moment of childlike wonder. He has braved the stage in front of an audience of 20,000 people and was even invited personally to perform for the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri of Malaysia. He is currently Zouk Club Kuala Lumpur's Resident Magician and Samsung Malaysia's Brand Ambassador.

Winnie Loo - Founder of A Cut Above Salons
and Academies & Group Chief Creative Director
Winnie Loo is synonymous with the hairstyling industry in Malaysia and helms the country’s most prestigious group of hair salons. Tackling the male-dominated field of hairstyling, she has scaled the heights of fame and success to propel the industry even further. Known as a trend-setter, she revolutionised the local hair industry, gaining not only local but also international recognition. She has won many local and international awards for her work, and has styled and consulted for numerous prestigious fashion shows, celebrities, and prominent personalities. Despite her recognition and demand, Winnie believes passionately in making time to inspire young people to excel and stay motivated.


Rev. Elisha Satvinder - Harvest Centre Founder

Armed with the belief that every child – rich or poor, urban or rural – must be given equal opportunity in education, Rev. Elisha pioneered Harvest Centre Berhad with his wife in 1999, which reaches out to the poor and needy in Sentul, Gombak and Selayang by establishing community schools in partnership with World Vision. The Harvest Centre’s theme, "Breaking the cycle of poverty through quality education", has borne much fruit & breathed fresh hope into these communities. He has spoken both locally & overseas, teaching in Australia, USA, Canada, Singapore, Indonesia and Philippines. He also speaks at local colleges & universities on Social Responsibility & Social Ethics.

Julian Hyde - Reef Check Malaysia Director

A scientist by training, with a degree in biochemistry, Julian worked for several years as a management consultant, managing a variety of environmental consulting programmes. He moved to Malaysia in 1998, initially managing an environmental consulting company in KL before moving to Tioman Island to pursue his dream of running his own dive centre. It was during that time that he became interested in Reef Check. Soon after, he worked with a team to establish Reef Check Malaysia as a registered NGO. Since then he has worked to raise funds for the organisation and to develop its programmes which now include a national annual coral reef survey programme, education programmes for schools and community-based projects.


Andrew Lau - Leaderonomics 
Andrew is the Head of Career Division & Talent Development Project Lead in Leaderonomics & has vast experience specialising in talent development and project management in the oil and gas industry. He has over 7 years of experience working at Shell and is a certified Shell Graduate Assessor, charged with recruiting top graduate talents for Shell. He has also worked extensively in Europe and Asia implementing billion-dollar projects, and is a recipient of 4 Special Recognition Awards from Shell. He is also an avid guitar player and currently the touring guitarist for Juwita Suwito, and has played for Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza, Faizal Tahir, Jacqueline Victor, Liang, Atilia, and many more in addition to playing for One in A Million, 8TV Quickie, and NTV7 Breakfast Show.

Caroline Wilson - MADD Messenger
Caroline is one of the co-creators and manager of the talented MADD Messenger. Alongside her husband Petia Wilson, they have created a ministry that uses different mediums to deliver inspirational messages to impact lives and bring hope and life to their audiences. MADD is an
acronym for Music, Art, Drama and Dynamic speaking, mediums that the MADD messenger uses when delivering his inspirational messages. She has worked in various sectors including health, creative arts, youth, corporate and non-for -profits and whether at governance level or frontline, what separates the best from the great is passion, creativity, persistence and working with like minds. Currently, developing programs and books that take reading and learning out of the box.

Moderators

Jason Lim
 Beyond his day job as a manager in a local bank's planning unit, Jason Lim writes a monthly column on film for the Star's Section Two and is involved in up and coming youth-led initiatives such as EPIC Homes and korang.com. Shortly after graduating from the London School of Economics, he helped fellow partners in Perantauan Pictures produce 3 feature-length films and served as Treasurer and Editor for theCicak.com, a (now defunct) youth socio-political webzine.



Chi Ming Loh 
After leaving his job in advertising, Chi Ming started up a digital marketing business which is now expanding to Singapore. In his free time, he teaches under-privileged kids photography at the StART Society, promotes his own photography project to inspire optimism, and gets involved in facilitating youth-driven community projects. Being passionate about both social media and non-profit work, he is leading his clients to approach CSR as a form of PR using digital channels. He is now working on launching his second venture, an online sharing platform for people interested in self motivation & development. He doesn't tweet often, but is always watching the twitterverse from @chimagination.

John-Son Oei
Co-founder and CEO of EPIC Collaborative Sdn Bhd, a social enterprise focused on making ordinary people become active participants in impacting their community. A graduate of Mass Communication & Media Management, John-Son has made a commitment to social activism as a way of life and living. This passion has led him to be recipient of the KLue Blue Chilli Award 2010 & Tatler’s Nokia E7 success circle. Besides his full time job of working with EPIC, he assists in research at UCSI University in the Faculty of Economics and Policy Science.


 Jamie Khoo
A graduate from the University of North Texas in Psychology, he is currently pursuing his post graduate diploma in economics from the University of London. He has served for half a year in DAP's parliamentary research assistant & REFSA's editorial department. He currently serves in the National Evangelical Christian Fellowship (NECF)'s organizing committee - liaising with national-level Christian NGOs such as Harvest Center & Malaysian Care to spearhead a Christian youth movement to create a new form of charity: one that requires donation of time & effort instead of money.


 Michelle Yap
Prior to her current job at CIMB Investment Bank, Michelle lived abroad in the United States for 9 years. A Business Finance honours graduate from the University of Texas at Dallas, Michelle decided to return back to her roots after working a year in Ericsson in Plano, Texas. A firm believer in non-profit work, Michelle volunteers at Habitat for Humanity to build houses for low income families. When she is not busy, Michelle can be found scouring online for new cake recipes or reading a good book with a chilled Diet Coke on hand. 


Wilson Quah 
Wilson is born a Kedahan and is still a Kedahan through and through. After finishing a degree in MOSE (Maths, operational, Statistics and economics) in Warwick, he worked in London for a few years before returning to Malaysia where he co-founded Wine Actually with the idea to take wine online. However, he was soon drawn into the exciting world of group-buying and online marketing, which is why he now spends most of his time happily running Milkadeal.com.
